Description
A compact Hall effect flowmeter designed to accurately measure the flow of water and other non-corrosive liquids in pipes and tubing systems — that is the YF-S201 Water Flow Sensor. It is widely used in Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, smart water control systems, automatic dispensers, irrigation systems, industrial automation, and DIY electronics projects. The sensor contains an internal rotor and Hall effect sensor. As water passes through the sensor, the rotor spins and generates electrical pulse signals. The frequency of these pulses is directly proportional to the water flow rate, allowing a microcontroller to calculate both instantaneous flow and total volume of water used. The YF-S201 supports
