Description
PC817 Optocoupler (also known as an optoisolator) — an electronic component that transfers electrical signals between two isolated circuits using light. Inside the IC, an infrared LED and a phototransistor work together to pass the signal without direct electrical connection. This isolation protects sensitive microcontrollers and low-voltage circuits from high-voltage spikes, electrical noise, and accidental damage. The PC817 is commonly used in Arduino circuits, relay boards, switching power supplies, inverter boards, industrial control systems, and communication interfaces. Its compact 4-pin package, low cost, and reliable operation make it one of the most popular optocouplers for ele
