YF-S201 Water Flow Sensor Flowmeter Hall Effect Water Control Sensor 1-30L/min 2.0MPa
KSh800.00
High-precision Hall effect water flow sensor for measuring liquid flow from 1 to 30L/min.
Description:
The YF-S201 Water Flow Sensor is a compact Hall effect flowmeter designed to accurately measure the flow of water and other non-corrosive liquids in pipes and tubing systems. It is widely used in Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, smart water control systems, automatic dispensers, irrigation systems, industrial automation, and DIY electronics projects.
The sensor contains an internal rotor and Hall effect sensor. As water passes through the sensor, the rotor spins and generates electrical pulse signals. The frequency of these pulses is directly proportional to the water flow rate, allowing a microcontroller to calculate both instantaneous flow and total volume of water used.
The YF-S201 supports a flow range of 1 to 30 liters per minute and can withstand water pressures up to 2.0MPa, making it suitable for household, agricultural, and industrial water monitoring systems. It uses a standard 1/2-inch threaded connection for easy installation in water lines. The sensor is designed for cold and warm water applications and can operate in temperatures from -25°C to +80°C.
The sensor operates from 5V to 18V DC and outputs a standard TTL pulse signal that can be connected directly to most microcontrollers. The typical signal formula is:
- Flow rate (L/min) = Frequency (Hz) ÷ 7.5
- Approximately 450 pulses are generated per liter of water
This makes it easy to use for measuring total water consumption, detecting leaks, controlling pumps, or monitoring liquid usage in automated systems.
Typical applications include:
- Smart water meters
- Automatic water dispensers
- Irrigation and hydroponic systems
- Liquid filling machines
- Water vending machines
- Washing machines and dishwashers
- Coffee machines and beverage dispensers
- Solar water systems
- Aquarium and fish tank monitoring
- Indoor farming and irrigation projects
For your automation and indoor farming projects, this sensor could be useful for measuring the amount of water delivered to your onion growing systems or automated irrigation setup. By connecting it to an Arduino or ESP32, you can monitor water usage in real time and automatically stop a pump after a certain volume has passed.
